Life has been getting busier for many people as cooking become less of a priority, it isn’t uncommon for people to pick up takeaway for a meal and not even stop.
Meanwhile, two women are on a mission to reverse the spiralling trend, and encourage everyone to get back to basics. The Two Old Ducks, authors of the sell out book Back to Basics Cookbook, Annette Long and Jennifer Hill, were at the recent Farm Fantastic Expo to demonstrate how local produce from the Caboolture and surrounding regions can be turned into tasty meals, while not taking all of your time away.
These women are also keen to point out the health benefits of eating food that has come straight out of the ground, produced by a chook or cow and barely passed through the kitchen before being consumed to ensure freshness.
