The formal consultation period of the new draft planning scheme has closed. Council is now considering feedback received during July and August 2015 and will work to finalise the planning scheme for approval by the State Government.

Moreton Bay Regional Council has been working to finalise a new planning scheme that supports growth and maintains the region’s unique characteristics. A new planning scheme, will for the first time since amalgamation, set a clear vision for Moreton Bay Regional Council as one region.

Between 1 July and 21 August 2015 following approval from the Deputy Premier, Council placed a new draft planning scheme on consultation. This formal consultation period has now closed. Council is now considering the feedback received and will now work to finalise the planning scheme for approval by the State Government.

Based on community feedback, Council has retained a number of the features used during the formal consultation period including My Property Look Up. Whilst these features remain it is important to note that the content of the material is reflective of the version of the draft planning scheme that was approved for consultation.
