Moreton Bay Business Enterprise Centre (MBEC) was established in December 1993, moving to its present home at 39 Aerodrome Road, Caboolture, in April 1995. MBEC contributes to regional growth and economic development through the provision of business advisory/support services and managed workspaces (incubators).
Moreton Bay Business Enterprise Centre is a Not for Profit community based organisation, governed by the rules and regulations of an Incorporated Association and was an initiative of the Queensland government and supported by the Federal/State governments and the Caboolture Shire Council (prior to amalgamation), in the interests of creating jobs in the region and contributing to regional growth and economic development.
Moreton Bay Business Enterprise Centre is not just involved with providing small business incubator facilities or business management advice. We are involved in a wide variety of other local community projects, either as a participant or instigator. All these projects are related to our Mission Statement of encouraging regional business/economic growth and generating job.
MBEC is a member of BEC Australia, which is a not-for-profit organisation whose primary role is to support and grow the national network of Business Enterprise Centres and provide representation on behalf of its members to key stakeholders.
The centre also holds regular workshops and seminars for small business owners/managers/staff, and people wishing to advance their career or job opportunities. Our training division, The Australian Institute of Industry and Training, offers nationally accredited courses from Certificate III to Diploma level in the Small Business Management field, and many other courses for business and industry.
