CEO Challenge – More Than Just a Handbag

Australia’s CEO Challenge (ACEOC) recently held a charity event called, More Than Just a Handbag.

This event was put on to raise much needed funds to help work towards the organisation’s vision of “a world free from domestic and family violence”.

This fundraiser was held on Level 22, Waterfront Place, 1 Eagle Street, Brisbane in the MinterEllison function room overlooking the Story Bridge.

And this was made possible because of MinterEllison’s (a legal firm) ongoing substantial support for the CEO Challenge organisation.

Also supporting this event, Caboolture’s own Scott Lachmund from Richardson&Wrench Caboolture auctioned off items, which were generously donated to the cause.

This led to more than $9,000 being raised.

CEO Challenge came about because, the then Brisbane Lord Mayor Councillor, Jim Soorley took the advice of his Women’s Advisory Council to establish an organisation to take action on domestic and family violence (DFV) through the workplace.

Today ACEOC has grown into a passionate and influential organisation experienced in delivering workplace training programs to address DFV Australia wide and as of 2019, internationally.
