WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING
For a number of schools, a subsidy from the Government is received annually to support having a Chaplain in the school. However, the reality is this funding only covers a little over a day per week of their salary. In order to make a larger, long term impact, and to have the opportunity to support more students, Chaplains are needed in our schools more regularly.
We are reaching out to our local community to help us raise additional funding in order to make this need a reality.
To help raise funds we are hosting our annual Chaplaincy Fundraising Dinner.

ABOUT SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY
School Chaplaincy has become a highly respected and essential service for many schools across Australia, especially in Queensland.
In the Caboolture/Morayfield area there are currently 14 schools benefiting from the inclusion of a School Chaplain.
The role of a School Chaplain is to provide social, emotional and spiritual support to students and their families. School Chaplains work to help students find a better way to deal with life issues in a relaxed and comfortable environment. They provide a listening ear and a caring presence in the school and are often involved in school activities and events which allow the students to connect with the Chaplains organically.
