A Little About Caboolture

Centenary Lakes Park, Caboolture QueenslandCaboolture is located about 44 kilometres north of Brisbane – Queensland’s capital, Australia. As at June, 2010, Caboolture had an estimated population of 46,882 with future growth projected.

The 98.8 kilometre square area of Caboolture is rich in history and continues to be an integral part of both the Moreton Bay Region and Queensland. This has a lot to do with the easy access to Brisbane by both Queensland Rail and the Bruce highway, the pathway over the Great Dividing Range, through the Moreton Bay Hinterland via the D’Aguilar highway and close proximity to both the Sunshine Coast and Bribie Island.

Caboolture even has its own airfield, which is mostly utilized general and recreational aviation. The airstrip is under the operational control of the Caboolture Aero Club Inc.

In and around Caboolture you’ll find a plethora of sporting options and clubs, schools, parks and many other facilities that both advance and bring the community together. This area has also produced some people of note including singer Keith Urban, PGA Tour pro Rod Pampling and newsreader Andrew Lofthouse.

The future of Caboolture is bright with large infrastructure planned including the Caboolture West area, which is expected to ultimately be the home of more than 70,000 people. This is expected you bring major new infrastructure to the area and even change the look of the CBD. Other benefits expected, include more jobs, more public transport and overall economic growth.

And of course, just like Brisbane, Caboolture has a river that passes through the middle of it. In the past, the river was used for transportation, but now it is a feature and water storage for the area.
